Midwest Satsang Connection

Social network for Satsang givers and attendees in the Midwest

Do you ever notice, how effortlessly the mind focuses on form.As soon as you open your eyes in the morning the mind focuses on form. Then the thinking mind comes in (ego) and starts to judge and compare what ever kind of form is being looked at.What Im trying to point is that there so much more space than form but the space is often over looked for the form. Its like looking at a wall with bunch of dots painted all over it.When you look at the wall all you see are the dots, but in reality there is more white wall than black dots. Why is that?why does mind over look the space and sees form.Is it from years of conditioning and thinking that true happiness is gained from form.Whether it be money or from love or whatever it maybe. We all know the end results of chasing happiness through form. What if it was flipped and you saw space first and you then had to make an effort to focus on form to get things done in the world.Maybe if you saw space every where, all the time you would effortlessly realize you are that.Which you are!Next time you catch your self effortlessly looking at form, notice that and then see the space that between you and the object you were looking at.Be with that space in that moment,Once you start seeing space more and more.It will become effortless, stillness will start to unfold from that space. You are that stillness, remember you are everywhere and no where. All there is,is space.

Is true "sight" excusing the form cluttering the view. why do i write a reply? to contribute? does my ego want to be cute? (recognise my existance) Is it possible to post or reply without desiring some satisfaction? Is there any part of me other than ego that seeks satisfaction? i "think" not.

e.g. me = ego

"A Course In Miracles" teaches that we are here to be an observer. An observer is not an ego and would not feel compelled to comment.

You just got insight into my self anaysis - lucky you :-)

Very much like Alan Watts's book "Do you do it or does it do you"
